More than once searching information in internet i found with Blogger, really i not thought that i would use one, i was not interested. But now that i have been working with it for some time I changed my opinion, I think that it can be one interesting page and with many uses, for example, learn english... a very good idea! because, besides of practicing english of an intertaining manner , i reflect about different and interesting topics and i can get to know my clase mate when I'm reading their posts.

The bad side of this is that i have to be a long time in the PC this is very tiring and after of a short time the sound of keyboards distract me. Plus this, the firt day, understand the page was so hard for me, i couldn't find my classmates to comment their posts, i didn't know how to personalize my Blog, etc. But it was a question of exploring to understand it and have fun loading up photos and doing others modifications.

I think that working with the blog have helped me to increase my vocabulary,by time goes by some words have stayed in my memory, words that i have used in my posts, have stayed in my mind, but, in reality i think that it's not enough, i need to dedicate much more time to study this language, wich have never liked me a lot, this doesn't mean that i don't believe that is so important to know it.

A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester…

In my fifth semester of the career I had the option to choose a complementary workshop, consisting of a semiannual workshop which is held twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays), this aims to deliver practical knowledge and theoretical on a particular discipline, which could contribute to the work that it is been made in the central workshop. Among many options like, photography, foundry, ceramics, painting, printmaking, and others, I chose textile workshop wich i consider as one of my most enjoyable and simultaneously i have spent considerable time during this part of the semester. One of the main reasons why I consider this subject one of the most entertainment is by its practical character, because I believe that the best and most effective way to learn is through action and experimentation, which was necessary ,for example, in the first job ,that consisted of 60 textile gestures, delivery that required a large research and experimentation on various materials in order to find our own and innovative gesture, point where I focused, experiencing not only with traditional techniques and materials in the textile area, but it led me to work with extra textile elements, such as plastics.

Jorge Castañon

One character that comes at first to my mind, that since a few weeks ago he was giving a talk and conducting a workshop at the university, is Jorge Castañon, Argentine jeweler who I met a few years ago while I was studying goldsmith (2013, before I get to the university) and visited the school where I have studied. It is one of the first in Latin America that works and research on contemporary jewelry workshop and founder of the ''nave'' (1990), where he has been able to provide tools to assist the realization of innovative new languages in this area, contributing to the formation of interesting artists. His works have been exhibited in countries around the world, even presenting his work in one of the most important worldwide event of contemporary jewelry, Schmuck in Germany.

One of the reasons that I was interested about him is primarily, for its contemporary vision of jewelry, leaving in the background the merely decorative importance of jewel, taking this object so common, intimate and close to people for use with a communicative purpose, being the person carrying it who helps convey the message. In addition, I rescue his departure with traditional techniques and materials of jewelry, using such precarious materials that even though got a heavy load and importance, like the realization of works with pieces of salvaged wood of a rare tree that has been cut by a business need.

 UFOs

I believe that everyone has wondered if there is more life in others planets ... and nobody,  in a long time, has been able to give an answer accurate and official. I arise other question: Will we, someday, be able to confirm their existence? or are very intelligent beings that we could never discover? or just has been an invention of man to give answer to unusual events?

In my opinion it is impossible to be the only specie in a universe so inmense, also my grandfather have told me some stories; ones in a journey to north he saw a strange light in the sky, wich moved quickly in a specific area. I have never saw something like that but there's so many UFO stories that has happened and watched in the clear north sky of our country.

A photography you like and its story!

I chose a few pictures that i have taken in different places and times, because i could not choose just one. when I'm traveling i always carry my camera with me, the truth is that i don't think so much about the thing that i will take a picture of, just when something catches my attention i pull the plug, and usually when i upload them to the PC, I realize that i took some photos that i really like and i found a sense on them. some of my favorite pictures are:

I took this picture in the Atacama region, in Pan De Azúcar on 2016. My intention was to reach the places with the best sights but since the alluvium it is difficult to get there, finding myself with this landscape.

I took this photograph in the north too, specifically in Caldera. This is a wall that lets us see part of an old house that is behind. the colors and objects, in my opinion, the  scene becomes a painting.

This other picture  was taken in Caldera too. the photograph  shows the last wall that was still standing of a house very near the sea.

I like the pictures that show how  time goes by  ...

Technology

I do not have an Smartphone i just have a simple old fashioned black cellphone with buttons and a small screen, it has not ring tones that i like, so i record a song from manu chao and rings when someone call me, well i only use for make calls and send text messages, it also allows me to use it as an alarm clock and as a watch.

I do not use my cellphone as all people now a days, i think that i do not need something so advanced and expensive, i would not like to depend of it like many people that i see walking in the streets, i do not like that.

My father gave me this phone as a gift, to keep us in touch, it is the basic and it is the necessary thing to have a cellphone.
